Since 29 March 2023, Sheikh Khaled has served as Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and as Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council — the emirate’s central governing body, which assists the Ruler in carrying out his duties and powers.

Governing at home, representing the UAE abroad
His public calendar spans the meetings of the Executive Council, the review of government strategies and the inauguration of new infrastructure. He has also led UAE delegations to the G20 in Rio de Janeiro and Johannesburg, the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Minsk and the BRICS Summit in New Delhi — several of them on behalf of the President of the UAE — and has made official visits to countries including India, Kazakhstan, Singapore, China and Ecuador.
