Ghadan 21 was an AED50 billion accelerator programme for the Abu Dhabi economy and society. It was launched by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed; the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, chaired by Sheikh Khaled from October 2019, was mandated to supervise it.
A AED5 billion fund to support between five and ten private companies a year — particularly small and medium-sized enterprises — in listing on the Abu Dhabi exchange.
In October 2021 he inaugurated 42 Abu Dhabi, a tuition-free coding school using a peer-to-peer, project-based learning model. In December, a government-led career-building programme for Emirati talent was launched on his directives.

Marking ten years of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled received the organisation’s Board Chair, Beth Mooney, and its Chief Executive, Dr Tom Mihaljevic. The hospital reported 6.8 million patient encounters and 175,000 surgeries since opening in 2015.
