Born in Abu Dhabi
The eldest son of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, today President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and a grandson of the UAE’s founding President, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Inaugurated the tuition-free coding school 42 Abu Dhabi and launched a AED5 billion fund to support companies listing on the Abu Dhabi exchange. The same year he became Chairman of the Executive Committee of the ADNOC Board of Directors.

Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council
Appointed Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi by Emiri decree of the UAE President in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi; the Executive Council was reformed under his chairmanship the same day. A day earlier, as Chairman of the Emirates Genome Council, he spoke at the launch of the National Genome Strategy.

Officially inaugurated a hub offering Emiratis careers counselling, upskilling and job matching.

Chaired the Executive Council meeting that approved the programme under the Abu Dhabi Family Wellbeing Strategy.

First official visit to India as Crown Prince
Talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and the India–UAE Business Forum in Mumbai. Agreements covered nuclear-plant operations, long-term LNG supply and strategic petroleum reserves.
